Radiology Unit of the Türkiye Hospital is serving rounding the clock to fulfill orders of physicians from other units.
Radiological studies have great importance for early diagnosis of many diseases in the modern medicine. Radiology Unit of the Türkiye Hospital has all technological devices that are required for this significant position. Ultrasound, Color Doppler ultrasound, spiral tomography, mammography and conventional x-ray equipment are included in this equipment.
What we do?
Used at the Radiology Unit of the Türkiye Hospital, the Color Doppler Ultrasound Device (ATL 3000 HD) is characterized with most advanced specifications in this class of devices.
Color Doppler Ultrasound enables exploration of arterial and venous pathologies. Fetal Well-being Doppler Ultrasound is used for investigating fetal developmental retardations, while scrotal and penile Doppler Ultrasound is used to determine emergencies, such as impotence, infertility, testicular infections, tumors and torsion.
Moreover, more detailed evaluation of all abdominal and soft tissue lumps is allowed.
Ultrasound is used for evaluation of various organs and body parts, including but not limited to abdomen, pregnancy-related structures, thyroid gland, neck, breast(s), testes, neonatal cranium and hip, soft tissue, prostate gland and shoulder.
Ultrasound-guided specimens are taken from organs and tumoral lesions and thus, diagnosis is made.
At the Radiology Unit of the Turkiye Hospital, in comparison with other tomography devices, faster scanning is ensured with the spiral tomography device (Tochibavision model) and more clear images are obtained with this slices.
The most remarkable characteristic of the spiral tomography is the ability to get three-dimensional images. Thus, surgeons are allowed to better assess the lesion and the surgery is facilitated.
Moreover, biopsy specimen can be taken from suspicious lumps under guidance of the tomography.
Breasts can be examined using mammography device. Early diagnosis of breath cancers can be made based on data obtained from those examinations. Each female above 35 years of age should have breast examination, even if she has no complaint. It is recommended that mammography is repeated once in every 2 years, and the interval should be once a year in post-menopausal women.
In addition, conventional X-ray device enables all examination with or without contrast agent.
The Radiology department is comprised of following units:
- Color Doppler Ultrasound
- Bone Densitometry
