Regular eye examinations are needed to prevent development of visual impairments and to protect healthy eyes. Vision is one the most important element that connects people to the life. One should always remember that visual impairments and eye diseases can only be detected by an ophthalmologist.

Irrespective of wearing eyeglasses, all adults aged >40 should visit an ophthalmologist once a year. The period can be once every 6 hours for children or even shorter for some special conditions, if advised by the doctor. The optimal timing of the first eye exam is 3rd year of the life in a child with no complaint.
